I've been singing this song lately. Here are the words:
Mended
by Watermark
You repair all that we have torn apart
And you unveil a new beginning in our hearts
And we stand grateful for all that has been left behind
And all that goes before us
You've got all things suspended
All things connected
Nothing was forgotten
Cause your love is perfect
You are our healer
And you know what's broken
And we're not a mystery to You
To you, O Lord, to you
We will dance as you restore the wasted years
And you will sing over all our coming fears
And we'll stand grateful for all that has been left behind
And all that goes before us
Lord you mend the bridge
And you break every fetter
You give us your best
For what we thought was better
And you are to be praised
You are to be praised!
Amen and Amen!

gotta love watermark. and i know you've been getting a lot of this, but your writing is amazing, amanda. you put such beautiful words to your heart...i love your how your love of God and your family is reflected in your blog. thank you for sharing with us.
amanda, the Lord speaks to us in such amazing ways. i just finished putting watermark's 'gloria' lyrics on my blog... they have a way of saying what i can't. it's beautiful...
so what i feel is that your questions, even in the middle of all the messiness and clutter, you continue to glorify God. it says so much about your heart.
Yesterday, my iPod was on "shuffle" on the way home. (This means sometimes I listen to the Goo Goo Dolls followed by Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" followed by the Passion Worship Band.) I was waiting at the drive-thru, only half listening when I realized an unfamiliar song was just speaking my heart. I picked up the iPod to see what it was and smiled broadly when I realized it was this very song, Mended. We DO need a cup of tea!
